My early expansion gave me the fortitude to resist four or five druids of the claw in bear form. Even though I was creep jacked multiple times and lost most of my army, I immediately rebuilt.

There is a notable difference of Evasion on the Demon Hunter between levels 2 and 3. That, rejuvenation and a staff kept the Demon Hunter alive for the course of the game.
