It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
One that may lead to tears
Tears for my agonizing pain
Tears because you know or have the feeling

It's a sad, sad story when i get writer's block
The indescribable feeling of unknowing
The inner knowing that you just don't know
A thought with no inspiration at all

It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
It's an inner pain both physical and mental
It's like having words at the tip of your tongue
That you can't ever figure out

It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
The words don't come to mind
The vision is gone
A story lost forever until it lands in the mind another

It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
An image wiped from my mind
The sparkle that is lost from my eye
My smile turned upside-down

It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
A story that is flowing, then stopped abruptly
A story with no end
One that is unwritten in mind and paper

It's a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
Wasting hours of life thinking
Thinking of the beginning of a life
Or the ending of their story

It's still a sad, sad story when I get writer's block
All of that pain and sorrow I go through
Luckily for me
I don't have writer's block
