Nicole Faye Evans - Why?

How can I feel so alone
When people surround me?
How come it is so dark
When lights are all around me,
How come I feel like I’m drowning?
But there is no water near me.
How come I feel like this?
Please explain why I feel like this.

How come I feel nothing is protecting me?
But I can feel your arms holding onto me.
Why aren’t you letting go of me?
What is it your afraid of?

How come when I speak, no one listens.
And when someone speaks to me I can’t hear anything
How can I see so clearly?
Yet my vision is so dim and blurry.
How can I touch you when you don’t feel anything?
Can you even see me there?

Why do I feel so invisible?
Would anyone notice if I was gone?
Would anyone notice I wasn’t here anymore?
I don’t think they would.
