Do you remember?
Apple and sugar was our favorite treat
She’d sit in her chair sucking on humbug sweets
The flower arranging we used to make
Or the coffee cake we used to bake
Going to church on Sundays
Or the dressing up games we used to play
Ladywell baths where we went swimming
Or the sound of her voice while she was singing
The way she would just talk to me
And the way she smelt of TCP
The image of her sitting in her chair
The stories of her friend the girl with red hair
And in the garden on the hammock swinging
Or when we would go off blackberry picking
All these things I did with my Nan
My bestest friend and number one gran
