We break and take what we make
Of this strive that we thrive to burst to life
To do what we set long ago
And show whom we know
That we are better then they’ve sworn
What they known of me
So why breathless now
To what at first you scorn and torn
What you thought was a shattered soul
I showed all how I got to go
This extra mile
Then still you use that vile mouth
To push and throw me down
But now
I leave and live
This fought out American dream
