Nick Jordan. - War And Peace

Since records began
This world has seen
Less than forty years of peace,
The profit in war 
And killing of people
Is always on the increase,
Isn't it sad
That profit is had 
From suffering and grief,
The fact that it still goes on today
Is way beyond belief,
Innocent children die,
Whilst politicians lie
And tell us war is necessary,
But it's not them
Whose families are destroyed
Or whose relatives that we bury,
The bureaucrats
And political fat cats
Are who I see to blame,
we can point them out and scream 
And shout
But still they feel no shame!
Hopefully one day we'll all learn,
This world is our ongoing concern
And that it's not ours to destroy,
There's other ways to settle disputes
Other than bombing them
With the weapons that we deploy!
