Nick Hilton - Fear

Tension mounts,
Until at the climax,
I crack,
And fear rushes in my broken shell,
And with this gust of fear,
Comes panic,
Which takes of hold of me,
And grips my sanity,
And wrenches it from me,
Until i am blind to any real danger,
Completely absorbed in my fear,
Drenched in cold sweat,
And shaking vigerously,
Fear and panic beginning to subside,
Until they give way to the relief of being alive,
And the joy that comes with that,
But as i think back,
I know the instrument of my greatest terror,
The fear of fear.
