Dear soulmate,
do you remember me?
i think about you all the time.
i wonder if i ever cross your mind
from time to time.
sometimes i lay awake at night,
talking to you and wondering
if you ever hear.
i'm pretty sure the darkness
just swallows up my words.
sometimes i stain my pillow
with tears that won't stop
because i want you beside me
but know i'll never feel you again.
dear soulmate,
i need you so much.
you were one of the best
parts of me and my life.
i've named a star after you
and i'll keep wishing every night
to have you with me again.
