Nicholas Synch - Hope

To hold the world within your hand
Is something I can't understand.
To love the day, and hate the night
Is something by which I find delight.

And I my wildest dreams I see
The world is but a part of me.
The sun, up high and burning bright.
The moon, the maiden of the night.

And if I reach into my mind
Then I am sure that I will find
The key to unlock this world anon.
But I think we've held it all along.

The torch in the dark, the butterfly.
The newborn lamb, the unused scythe.
The field of daisies, the empty hearse.
With hope, we conquer the universe.
