Nicholas Paradis - Searching

We laid in a valley turned blue by the stars
Caught under the cold breeze and moon light
We waited for answers to life’s hardest questions
To come to us from the black and season our souls
And for wisdoms to flow from our lungs and off our lips

What moves the world around?
And you and I within it?

Sharp winds replied with endless whispers
As taunting words came from the sky’s black veil
Feeling fears of life, death, and decay
All whirling through our minds and out our ears

But as the sun’s rays pierced the horizon
We felt a soothing warmth gravitate our bodies together
Our arms tangled in orange pleasure
And we answered with a shared breathe
