Description
Unionist groups march against Northern Ireland Protocol in Glasgow.
UNIONIST groups marched through Glasgow on Saturday demanding an end to the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The protesters can be seen holding banners reading "stop the Northern Ireland Protocol" and "united we stand divided we fall".
Other placards read "hands across the sea. Scotland says scrap the Northern Ireland Protocol".
The Northern Ireland Protocol was designed to prevent checks along the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, following Brexit.
Under the protocol, it was agreed that Northern Ireland would continue to follow EU rules on product standards in order to prevent checks along the Irish border.
Checks would instead take place on goods entering Northern Ireland from England, Scotland or Wales.
Unionists have been pressing for change on the measure, fearing their place within the United Kingdom is being undermined.
