NHS cancellations a 'planned response' to winter
Description
NHS hospitals in England have been told to delay routine out-patient appointments during the month of January, to allow priority to be given to emergency care and time-critical operations such as cancer treatment. Professor Keith Willett of NHS England denies that this represents a crisis, describing it as a "planned response to a winter that we knew was going to be difficult." Report by Jonesia.
