The National Football League (NFL) just launched the second year of its Diversity in Sports Medicine Pipeline Initiative. The 2023 cohort comprises students from 19 medical colleges–including the four HBCU medical schools. BE host Ashlei Stevens speaks with NFL Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allen Sills about the program, as well as Meharry Medical College student Morgan Williams—who will complete a clinical rotation with the Tennessee Titans—and Howard University College of Medicine student Bryan Beaubrun—who will complete a rotation with the New England Patriots.
