Newspapers react to May's conference speech

Theresa May’s speech at the Conservative Party Conference yesterday (Wednesday 4th October) dominated the front pages of the newspapers in the UK this morning.

The Prime Minister was handed a P45 by comedian, Lee Nelson. Nelson was removed from the conference.

May struggled to speak as she battled with a sore throat. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Phillip Hammond handed her a lozenge as May joked about the Chancellor giving away something for free.

The slogan on the wall behind May read ‘ Building a country for everyone’ yet one of the letters fell off the wall during her speech.
