LAHORE: In what appears to be a political fallout of televangelist and religious scholar Amir Liaquat Hussain’s association with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), a staunch supporter of the party announced to distance himself from supporting party chief Imran Khan.

Ahmad announced to cut ties with the party after cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan in an unexpected press conference welcomed Amir Liaquat to the party fold.

In a reaction to this new addition to the party, he said: “After 35 years of defending, supporting & justifying @ImranKhanPTI to the world , i no longer can. i fear that reptiles surround him.”
