Ha! Sunshine? what was that?
I haven't seen it for days and I don't believe
From a basement perspective
Ha! Love? what was that?
I haven't ever felt it at its true form
Now I've lost my faith in its existence

Ha! Freedom? what was that?
I haven't felt a sense of freedom since
The last incision kissed my face
And now I'm not even sure if it's possible
Thanks to a basement perspective
Ha! Life? what do you think it is?
I know there is no life beyond these walls
Even with their painted faces and porcelain forms
What I have (nothing) must be better than conformity
I'm sure there is no soul outside in the world
