New Low For Jobless Claims
Description
This week's unemployment claims were 360,000, matching Wall Street expectations and establishing a new pandemic low. Jobless claims have decreased substantially since peaking at 6.3 million in April 2020, and this new low can best be attributed to the reopening of the hospitality, tourism, and restaurant industries.
