New framework to boost national care services sector
Description
An ecosystem is being developed to strengthen Malaysia’s care sector, said Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
She told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Oct 28) that the initiative, under the Malaysia Care Economy Strategic Framework and Action Plan 2026–2030, aims to enhance services for children, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
In response to a supplementary question from Mohamad Shafizan Kepli (GPS–Batang Lupar), Nancy said the ministry prioritises quality training to produce more skilled caregivers.
