New ECRL costs reduced by RM21.5 billion

The government has reduced the cost of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project by RM21.5 billion.
Tun Daim Zainuddin who negotiated the deal said the new link is 40km shorter, at 648km, and will remain as a double tracking line.
