New corruption cases emerge in Panama

The petition by the Panamanian Supreme Court to remove the parliamentary immunity of 34 legislators in order to investigate the use of public funds for their election campaigns comes on the heels of the recent corruption scandals during President Ricardo Martinelli's administration.
