North East serial entrepreneur and owner of Darlington Football Club George Houghton, has made 50 per cent of the funding available for an audacious bid to buy Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

Mr Houghton has formed a partnership with Newcastle property developers Liam Collins and David Bones for the innovative business venture. The proposal will be to create an unique leisure facility, described as a cross between Graceland and Disney World.
