Netflix separates DVD and streaming services even further

CEO Reed Hastings apologized to customers for his lack of explanation. The apology came ahead of another change. Netflix is splitting streaming entirely from its DVD program, which will be renamed Qwikster. Hastings claims the split will allow Netflix to focus more on future technologies, unlike other companies. They've already hit a PR snag.
