Neoprene Bulb Cover

This item was bought about 25 years ago, and didn't seem to come with any packaging, so we are not quite certain as to the original purpose. Basically it is a neoprene bulb cover, neoprene being a kind of rubber that is heat resistant. We think that this was designed as a simple was of converting a normal light bulb to a red light bulb, if you wanted some romantic soft lighting for a party. Afterwards you can peel the neoprene off, and the light goes back to normal. However as the neoprene can be easily cut with a pair of scissors, it also lends itself to having designs and images cut in it, which is what Tim has done here.
