Neil Adams - Goodbye

I feel weak, I don't have much time
My life has changed from its usual rhyme
I wanted to do so many things
So many places thats left unseen

My kin has suspicion, I can see it in their eyes
They think they are hiding it, behind a disguise
It's obvious to me, that they need to know
But I cant help it, it ain't no show

They told me I had a few months left
And that I should go home and get some rest
But so much to do, I cant stop now
But only so much, my body will allow

Its getting worse, closer to the end
I sit and weep, I cannot mend
It hurts to think of the happy times
When I was free, there was no signs

No signs of cancer running through my veins
When I had time to remember all your names
So this is my chance to say goodbye
Now I must leave, it's time to die
