NCER is a PR exercise: Khalid

PKR's secretary general Khalid Ibrahim lambasted the multi-billion ringgit Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) project, claiming that the BN government has ulterior motives in implementing it. The ambiguous explanations on stages of development, contract offers and tenders points to this fact he said at PKR's August 2nd press conference.

At the same press conference, the Malaysian Trade Unions Congress stated that it will launch its second nationwide picket on Aug 8 to oppose the government's reluctance in enacting a minimum wage law for workers in the private sector.
