Natural Ways to Reduce Anxiety

Anxiety comes from a stress source, so prevent and remove yourself from the stressor. Here are a few things everyone should know in order to reduce stress and anxiety.
- Practice mindful breathing exercises. Be aware of your breath as you inhale and exhale. Place a hand on your belly and chest. Focus on the sensation of breathing.
- Jogging. Jogging helps release serotonin. Make jogging a ritual.
- Immerse yourself in art. Art requires focus and control.
- Solve puzzles. Mental challenges can help redirect or take away your anxious thoughts.
- Listen to happy and upbeat music. Studies have shown that listening to sad music when in a sad mood doesn’t help actually change your mood.
- Do yoga. Yoga requires self-control and self-control is key to anxiety control.
Practice all of these and you’ll definitely notice and improvement in your day to day anxiety.
