National Herald: DUTA Strike

The DU teacher’s march was from Ramlila Maidan (outside Zakir Hussain College) to parliament street though at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg they faced barricading and police. However, with their spirits, high teachers were able to break the barrier and reach till Jantar
Mantar, however, police used methods of lathi-charge and this action prompted teachers to raise slogans like “Narendra Modi Darta hai, Police ko aage Karta hai” which means “a scared Modi uses police in fear”. Finally, the teachers had to use the Gandhian technique of Jail Bharo for protecting the university and keep their demands alive. All offered to be court arrested.
