Before the thought escapes my mind.
Before it could never be.
I feel some things I've never felt,
And they seem real to me.

Who would have thought in all those years,
That I would fall so hard?
I never thought in all that time,
My heart you would bombard.

Memories of 'it could never happen',
Thinking we were only friends.
Now I'm off the beaten path,
And starting my new trends.

It shouldn't be this difficult,
I wish you could see the light.
It will just come to you one day,
You'll see it's worth the fight.

Love is something great and special.
Something I would like to share.
I'd like to give you something great,
To show you that I care.

If you feel one and the same,
Let me know that I should try.
But if you want me to just stop,
I'll tell my heart to lie.

Who would have thought, back in the day,
That I would fall for you.
But when I see those ocean eyes,
I know the feeling 's true.
