Nashy Lamen - And Then Everything Changes

A distinct pain floods my heart,
I long to escape but where to start,
I feel crushed as I speak,
My words splinter, all is bleak.

I could not conquer such solemnity,
But I wish to utter veracity,
Truth of what I feel inside,
To confess what I've always tried.

And as I slip into my cluttered thoughts,
I dig deeper down with what I sought,
I broke down all of my hesitations,
And just focused on only my emotions.

I set loose my fatuous expectation,
And eloped from agitation,
But it drags me back and I'm full of doubts,
And it pains me as it callously shouts.

Fatal decisions might make things worse,
This burden I'm in feels like a curse,
For I feel forbidden to like someone like you,
And desolation threatens me with what I do.

Now I want to scream out all this agony,
For it blinds me with anxiety,
As it creates a resilient frustration,
For I want to reveal my meek confession.

But after confession, everything changes,
Nothing's the same, as it disarranges,
The way you treat me before would differ,
And discomfort would keep distance as it wavers.

And all these thoughts now trapped my mind,
An escape I now hasten to find,
Fluttering as it leaves me empty,
Trying to end this ruthless agony.
