Nashy Lamen - A Friend Indeed
13 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
I hope you understand it though, it's a poem for a great friend..
A life of doubt is what I held,
screaming here and there, until I was filled with depression
Decisions in every corner
that threatens a life and kills a reputation.
I was sitting yet again in a hot seat
questions revolved around me
jumbled thoughts in my head as I wait for answers to pop out
But its all blank and filled with confusion
should i let it be?
I tried to runaway from all these pressure
Runaway and escape for good
But as I stare into the night sky I realized
that runing away does nothing
so I was blinded and long there I stood.
Until a stranger stood beside me,
concerned, I see in his face
he was asking what was wrong
It felt awkward at first
and silence broke,
but he waited, and he waited so long.
Because guilt trapped me up
I was forced to tell him the reason,
I struggled at first and swallowed my words
wondering and thinking of what to say.
I finally found a way to start it,
but it was pointless until I got comfortable with his company,
And I told him everything, from gossips to worries
and to problems that were filled with fury.
I started to burst in tears so he leaned forward
As he patted my back and soothed my pain
I felt warmth of a true heart
I was helpless beside him as I sobbed and weeped.
And from that point on he was my friend
and he was my best listener, he was my brother
I felt safe with him around, I trusted him fully
in every way, in every phrase, he was a great advicer.
I shall never forget the goodness in him,
though were still young I can see now
That he will be the greatest friend of every person he knew
I hope the candle of our friendship will never dim out.
