Nasdaq Composite Hits Record High

The Nasdaq Composite hit a record high on March 9th on the backs of high-performance stocks in technology sector.
Microsoft, Apple and Amazon each rose more than 1 percent which helped prop the Nasdaq up by 1.4-percent on the day.
But the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index experienced a surge of almost 2-percent, which pushed the Nasdaq over 7,532 points.
The S&P 500 Index and Dow Jones Industrial Average also had a strong day of trading, which each index increasing by 1.5-percent.
