Summer, summer, burning bright
The mass of fire showing might
The prickly heat on my body shows
Aha! ‘Tis time to eat mangoes.

Rain, rain, at its peak
The naughty Sun plays hide ‘n seek
‘Tis fun to go out and play
Till the rain goes away.

Winter, winter, shivery feeling
From my window I see snow reeling
Thick sweaters on, I look a pillow
With a fat cosy bed below.

Spring, spring, the golden season
Happy are they for they have reason
To be with the trees and plants in bloom
For gone are the days of gloom.

In every season, the poor suffer
For they live in ‘Kuchcha Ghar”
The rich feel winter in the summer
‘n summer in the winter.
