Naked migrants sprayed for scabies

"All the people with no dress, same the animal, see see."
A video purports to show migrants standing naked and being sprayed for scabies at a holding centre in Lampedusa.
State television aired the video on Monday and interviewed one of the migrants, known as Khalid.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MIGRANT "KHALID" SAYING:
"This happened two days ago. Yes, two days, only two days ago."
The mayor of Lampedusa said the video made the centre look like a "concentration camp" and that Italy should be "ashamed" of its treatment of migrants.

"Here the man also but you have lady up, you see."
The video has stirred outrage in Italy.
The European Commission has threatened Italy with legal action -- over its adherence to EU rules on acceptable conditions in detention centers, among other issues.
