Najib: It's not from 1MDB
Description
Former Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has denied that the RM470 million distributed among former BN component parties before GE13 came from 1MDB.
Previously, Malaysiakini reported that at least RM470 million went to various political entities through 102 transactions, excluding individuals, between April 2012 and August 2013.
Umno received the lion's share, at RM417.4 million or 88.8 percent of the funds. The next biggest recipients were MIC at RM20.55 million, and MCA at RM16.5 million.
The money was distributed to various party chapters, wings and even a party-owned library.
