Nail polish hits the runway

Fingers do the walking at Brazil's Nails Fashion Week.

A mini catwalk was designed to showcase the latest trends of nail varnish - a top-selling fashion accessory in many parts of the globe.

New trends and colors drew gasps from women in the audience -- many whom have made Brazil the world's biggest nail polish consumer.

One 25-year-old business student and nail polish blogger explains the trend.

"Nail varnish is a part of everything today because we change our nail color like we change clothes. I buy more nail varnish than I buy clothes nowadays."

Nails Fashion Week organizers already have bigger plans for next year as more companies are looking to grab a larger slice of the nail polish industry.
