Myrtle Thomas - Destitute
3 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
Hidden in a crowd
we all stand alone
some without family or home
having hearts of pride or shame
for anonymous seems our name
the comfort of family or friend
for some the roads end!
no laughter nor smile in heart
long the road we walk
for life's dangerous part
fallen by the wayside or through life's crack
faceless human beings on the wrong track
souls empty from hunger
lost in a shadow and we wonder can we hold out any longer
bitter emotion suffocate a dying breath
for in life a misery must we wish for death?
moving through life invisible in a crowd
our homeless generation, the voices cry out loud.
'Do we acknowledge the stranger on our street? '
