My Name Is Khan or MNIKis a 2010 Bollywood film directed by Karan Johar, with a screenplay by Shibani Bathija, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Gauri Khan, and starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. This new story gives insight to Karan Johar's vision and struggles. As well as, how the cast, story, and production all came to be.

Karan Johar expresses his desire to prove that India is not just about love stories or dancing, but can also tell stories similar to the Hollywood style. This film also stars Kajol an beautiful bollywood leading lady who is always a great counterpart to Shahrukh Khan.

The film is overseen by both Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment and will be distributed by FOX Star Entertainment, which bought the rights for the film for the sum of INR 1 billion, thus becoming the second most expensive Bollywood film, behind Blue. It is also the highest buyover for any Indian film, breaking Ghajini's record of INR 900 million.
