பிப்ரவரி 19, 2014ல் மறைந்த எனது ஆருயிர் மனைவி சரோஜாவைப் பற்றி சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு எனது மனதில் தோன்றிய எண்ணங்க்களை அனைவருடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன். அவை கீழ்க்கண்டவாரு:
என் சிறுவயதிலேயே (1939, அப்பொழுது எனது வயது 8-9 இருக்கும்) எனதருமைத்தாய் இறைவனடி சேர்ந்துவிட்டாள். மிக மிகப் பழமையான ”தாய்க்குப்பின் தாரம்” என்ற மூதுரைக்குத் தக்கவாரு ஜூன் 10, 1954ல் என்னை மணந்த எனதுயிருக்குயிரான சரோஜா தாய்க்குப்ப்பின் தாரமாக வாழ்ந்து மிக அருமையான இரண்டு பெண்களையும் ஒரு மகனையும் பெற்று வளர்த்து பிறகு எனக்கு தாயாகவே மாறி எனக்கு ஒரு சிறு குறையும் வைக்காமல் பணிவிடைகள் செய்ய்த்தொடங்கி சொல்லப்போனால் மிகவும் செல்லம் கொடுத்து இம்மியளவும் சுயநலம் பாராமலிருந்தாள். இப்படிப்பட்ட தியாகியை மேலும் துன்புருத்த வேண்டாம் என்ற நோக்கத்துடன் இறைவன் தன்னிடம் அழைத்துக் கொண்டு விட்டார் போலும்! My immortal wife SarojaShrinivas who, though
by a most lamentable fate, left her mortal coil and
went to the Heavens on her 77th year on 19th
February 2014, is still alive (spiritually) in my heart and mind.
My cousin was very keen on getting his only daughter married to my mother's eldest son -my elder brother- (older than me by 9 yrs). Much to
his disappointment, my brother chose to marry by maternal uncle's third daughter.

In the above circumstances, my cousin began persuading me to wed his eldest daughter (who
was just 2/3 yrs younger to me). I had been
brought up in my cousin's home from my 14/15th year (it was Saroja's 6th/7th year). During that period an attachment had grown between Saroja and me. So, I indicated to my cousin about my preference to marry his second daughter. Eventually, my cousin arranged for the marriage of both his daughters on the same day: 10th June, 1954.In deference to the firm requests of both my daughters and my only son to avoid giving much
publicity to them, I have, as far as possible, limited the details about them. Of course, slides
containing photographs relating to my daughters
and their families, as also to my son are included
in this presentation.
