It takes a ton of hard work, luck, and discipline—and that's if you fit the industry's narrow beauty standards. These three people never thought they would become models thanks to the fashion industry's lack of inclusivity, but some brands, like queer style digital magazine dapperQ, are giving them a chance to break into the modeling world. We followed as they walked the runway for the first time in dapperQ's super-inclusive fashion show during New York's fashion week to see what it's really like to model for the first time.
