To listen to a voice that captivated me
Or feel your soft and gentle hands
Before they faded away
For what seem to me to be forever

To say “hello, how are you doing?
Hope to see you soon or someday”
To listen to a voice that added the promise
Of beautiful tomorrows to my life
Or to feel your warm and tender body in my arms
Before you faded away
For what seem to me to be forever
I’m still thinking about you
Waiting for you
To sit down and converse
For just a few minutes
To look deep inside your beautiful eyes
And to hope that maybe, just maybe
There’s still a chance for you and me
Still a chance that one day
I will be able to hold you in my arms
And love you
