Mugdha Khedkar - Be Like...

Be like the glorious sun,
which rises, shines brightly
and assured that his work is done,
goes down into the sea

Fly like a free bird
explore nature's boundless beauty
which nor can be said nor heard
and prevails for eternity

Be like a huge wave
which rises high never in vain,
then comes down, bows like a slave
never failing to rise again.

Flow like an immortal river
which despite the obstacles it'll meet,
may it be sun's heat or winter's shiver
never once will suffer defeat.

Be like the powerful wind
which carries everything as it blows
which any race can win
and refreshes us as it goes

Be like a helpful tree,
which when it grows
helps all equally
and in front of all bows

Be like the beautiful rainbow
which appears amidst rain
like an oasis in a desert, to show
life is beautiful despite all pain

I want to be like all of them
so that the world will aver
“If you want to win life's game
Be like none of them, just be like her! ”
