Normally, This punch is straight motion in Kickboxing or MuayThai.
2. Basic Stace
If you punched by using your left hand, your left side of pelvis must move to forward than right side. And more important thing is that don't turn your head to opposite side. In this motion, Shaft of your body is vertebral column.
3. Defense Point
If you use your left hand for straight punch, you must defense your jaw by using your right shoulder. Also, covering your jaw by using your left shoulder is better. Hand covering for the guard have best angle(45 degrees). This angle will make best covering for defensing your head. One more thing is motion of your elbow. If your elbow is too far from your body, you cannot guard your ribs from body-kick/middle-kick.
