Mr. Met has been fired for flipping the bird

Welcome to 2017, home of the truly bizarre and random. Today's entry? Mr. Met was fired for giving a fan the middle finger last night. More accurately, one of the several people who puts on the Mr. Met costume was fired after a video of the New York Mets mascot flipping off a fan went viral. The Mets issued a swift apology and then confirmed to the Associated Press that the actor in the suit was fired. The AP also pointed out that Mr. Met only has a four-fingered hand so its technically impossible for him to flip someone off. Unicorn frappuccinos and mean mascots, what will 2017 do next?
