MQM supports Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) Day

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Coordination Commi-ttee has welcomed the decision of government to observe “Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH)” on Friday, 21st September, as a mark of protest against the sacrilegious, and declaring it a public holiday. In a statement issued, Coordination Committee stated that the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is considered as a great personality throughout the world but there was an abhorrent conspiracy to denigrate his character. They said that MQM leader Altaf Hussain was the first to condemn the profane film and the MQM believes that the religious sentiments of the Muslims have been hurt by the disparaging movie. They further said that the shocking and hateful film had also dealt irreparable loss to inter-faith harmony.
