Mount Olympus: Extreme Hiking +Timelapse clips
Description
A friend and I hiked up Mount Olympus in Greece, the home of the ancient Greek gods. The highest peak, Mytikas, is 2917m / 9570'.
I took a few timelapse sequences with my Nikon D7000 and 18-200mm VR lens. I also threw in a few clips from my pocket camera to give a good impression of what the climb is like.
This is a serious hike, not for the casual walker. We stayed overnight at a lodge on the mountain. Skala and Skolio are relatively standard hikes but reaching Mytikas is a class 3 scramble with potentially fatal consequences if one were to fall. Take a look!
