Morgan Stanton - Death, take me

At last the last bit of air has escaped from my lungs,
and death should overcome me.
I close my eyes to anticipate the worst.
I can already imagine myself gazing into the light.
Taking the hands of the already deceased and walking in to my heaven I’ve dreamed about numerous of times.
The thoughts buzzing through my mind
of what this heaven might look like.
Time seems to pass to slowly when you realize
death is just around the corner.
I plead to death, come to me!
Don’t make me suffer any longer!
I am here! Take me by the soul.
I am ready, I am prepared for the worst
