In A Gilded Cage
One, Named Faith
One, Named Brave

And A Big, Brass Branch
With Silver Leaves
So They Can Rest And Coo
With Splendid Ease!

And Fresh, Sweet Wheat
For Their Nest
To Lay Little Dovelings
Beneath Fair Breasts

And A Sapphire Bowl
Of Sparkling Water
Pearl Plate, With Seeds
And Ripe Berries For Larder

… An Emerald Floor
An Open Rubies-Door
So, They Spread Wish-Wings
And To Freedom Soar

Back and Forth, Explore
Those Doves, I Adore
I Gave To My Love
As A Token For:

… Purity and Charity
Trueness and Trust
And Beauteous, Precious
Union Of Us …
