Moon Moon - Worn Away Days

Why doesn't tears trickle down my face
When i recollect the memories of the worn away days?
Life- an account of loss and gain,
After fifteen years i realize what a pain
To leave each and every moment behind,
That encloses the golden memories like a sacred shrine;
And walk forward lured by the call of futurity-
Now I reckon it as my stupidity- not to look behind.

And today standing in the graveyard of my memories-
Hords of moments from the dead past
Floods through my brain,
And i see the faces of the long lost ones-
Lost in the world of Yesterday,
And my heart twitches with an inexplicable pain.

Then i hear the peals of laughter
Of my friends and beloveds.
The golden strands of remembrance
Now binds me even tighter;
Those hours spent in fun and humor-
Now as memories burn my insides
And my forlorn heart cries
For those worn away days-
Lost in time's impenetrable maze.
