the light invaded darkness once that was.
its brightness lay to waste the perfect night,
and blackness stained, blood seeping through the gauze
which hides a wound, while crimson rose on white
belies pretence, by hinting at the flaws,
the damage not presented to our sight
which tho unseen is evident because.
thus darkness was infected by the light.

so sing the praise of heaven! if you must
equate its glory with some transient star
though darkness were the better one to trust
which ever will embrace the ghoul you are
who sift through death to gather gold from rust
for light no matter near to you of far

one day when eyes accostume to the glare
shall simply blink out, vanish in thin air
