barking dogs float
on a moat of fog.
hawks shriek by
kamikazi pilot like...
i sit with a lap full
of cats full of wax from
the candle they've lately attacked.

'neath the moon, writing spells
in it's new-born light,
thoughts shriek by
like a needle in the eye.
i sit with a mind full
of prayers and repairs,
the blueprints
of a future i've lately designed.
